Safeguarding Maine's Clean Air and Water

We helped NRCM Action Fund fight back against devastating cuts to the EPA budget with creative media targeted to environmental activists, prompting them to take action.

The Trump Administration announced a budget last Spring that would slash EPA’s budget by $3 billion and lay off over 3,500 EPA employees. These cuts would cause disastrous harm to our environment and NRCM wanted to do something to protect Maine’s air, land, pristine coastline and wildlife. The NRCM Action Fund asked HGC Digital to come up with a fast and effective online call-to-action strategy to put pressure on Senator Collins and Senator King to take a stand against these cuts.

Team HGC Digital recommended using a data-rich Environmental Activist Model, utilizing membership and donor data from national and local environment organizations. We crafted a campaign aimed at identifying new potential activists who may be likely to engage in patch-through calls, sign petitions, become NRCM members or donate to the cause.

A two-week campaign delivered :15 and :30 second Pre-roll ads and companion banners, including click-to-call mobile optimization so viewers could contact Senators Collins and King immediately from their device. Over 700 calls have been made from all over Maine thus far.
